Features Overview
Everything qPlayer can do for your live shows, rehearsals, and events, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
Setlists & Cues
Organise your show into setlists, ordered collections of cues that you fire sequentially during a performance. Each cue can contain audio, video, images, lighting, MIDI commands, or any combination.
- Unlimited cues per setlist with drag-and-drop reordering
- In & out points: trim playback start/end without modifying the original file (m:ss text entry)
- Fade timing: configurable fade-out duration per cue (0–10 seconds)
- Auto-advance: automatically progress to the next cue when the current one finishes
- Colour coding: assign colours to visually categorise your cues
- Looping: loop individual cues for walk-in music, ambient tracks, or rehearsal
- Action cues: cues with no audio file that trigger lighting, images, or MIDI instantly
- Markers: label intervals, set breaks, and section dividers in your running order
Audio Playback
Professional audio playback with support for stereo and multitrack routing to USB audio interfaces on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Stereo playback: play MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A, and more through the device speaker, HDMI, or USB
- Multitrack USB audio: route individual channels from multichannel audio files directly to USB audio interface outputs (up to 32 channels with Gig, Plus, or Pro)
- Audio output routing: choose between Device, HDMI, or USB output per cue
- Click tracks & in-ear monitoring: send different channels to different outputs for click tracks and backing
- Stereo Fallback: automatic downmix to the device's built-in output if the USB interface drops mid-show, with per-channel Mute from Stereo Mix to exclude click, talkback, or in-ear-only channels
- Gapless playback: pre-loads upcoming cues for seamless transitions
- qMix Output Mixer: per-output faders, mutes, solo, and real meters after your cue levels, with mix snapshots (£19.99 add-on, included with Pro)
Tip
Build multichannel audio files from individual stems using any DAW (Logic Pro, Reaper, Pro Tools, etc.) and import them into qPlayer.
