Upgrading Your Plan
- Open qPlayer and go to Settings (on Mac, Settings → Plan).
- Browse the available plans and choose the one you'd like.
- Purchase the perpetual licence. Your features unlock immediately and stay unlocked forever.
New installs start with a 14-day free Pro trial automatically. When it ends, your shows are untouched: you simply choose which tier to buy. No payment is ever taken automatically.
If you already own a lower tier and want to upgrade, you'll pay the full price for the higher tier as a separate purchase. All licences are tied to your Apple ID.
Restoring Purchases
If you've reinstalled qPlayer or moved to a new device, you can restore your existing licence:
- Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.
- Open qPlayer and go to Settings.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
- Your licence will be verified and features re-enabled.
Note
Licences are tied to your Apple ID, not a qPlayer account. You must be signed into the same Apple ID to restore. This also means your licence works on both iPhone/iPad and Mac: same Apple ID, same licence.
Migrating from v1
If you had a v1 qPlayer subscription, your existing content and tier are honoured in v2.
- Open qPlayer v2 and go to Settings.
- Tap Sign In and use the same Apple or Google account you used in v1.
- Your setlists, cues, DMX data, and media will migrate to your device.
- Your subscription tier is honoured. You'll have access to the same features you had before.
This is a one-time migration. Once your content is on your device, you can sign out if you wish. v2 is offline-first and doesn't require an account for normal use.
New purchases in v2 are perpetual licences. If your v1 subscription was active at the time of migration, your tier remains active. Going forward, you can purchase a perpetual licence at any time.
Note
New users don't need an account at all. v2 works fully offline without sign-in. Accounts are only needed for v1 migration.
