Overview

On Mac, qPlayer can drive an Elgato Stream Deck directly, turning the deck into a tactile control surface for your show. Keys are labelled with your cues and transport actions, so you can run the set from physical buttons instead of the screen.

Platform

Stream Deck control is a Mac feature and connects directly over USB, no separate Stream Deck plugin or companion app required. Supported models include the Stream Deck MK.2 and Stream Deck XL.

Setting It Up

  1. Connect your Stream Deck to your Mac with its USB cable.
  2. In qPlayer, open Settings and turn on Stream Deck (it's off by default).
  3. Enter Show Mode. The deck takes over and its keys light up with your current setlist.

Tip

If the official Elgato Stream Deck app is running, quit it first. Only one application can control the hardware at a time.

Buttons & Layout

While you're in Show Mode, the deck mirrors your show controls:

When you leave Show Mode, the deck is released so other apps can use it again.
